A native of Jacksonville, Beverly loves the seasonal changes to the weather but summertime is her favorite time of the year.  Enjoying our beautiful beaches, the river with all the activities and the opportunity to soak up the sunshine, make living in Jacksonville the very best place to call home.

Born in St Luke's Hospital and spending her early years growing up in Jacksonville, the family moved to Gainesville, Florida while her father went to the University of Florida on a GI scholarship.  After leaving Gainesville, they lived in St. Augustine then back to Jacksonville where Beverly went to high school and graduated from Landon High School.

Upon graduation, Beverly entered the work force and then one year later married her high school sweetheart.  They raised three wonderful children and have eight grandchildren to dote on.  Everett and Beverly recently celebrated their 50th anniversary together.

Beverly began her real estate career while her children were young.  She wanted a career that allowed her flexiblility in her schedule and gave her the opportunity to interact with people and set her own salary.  Throughout her real estate career, Beverly has met many wonderful people, has made lasting friendships and grown in relationships.  Real estate is a great way to met people, and have meaningful relationships.

Beverly has been involved in many company activities, local and national assocation activites.  She currently serves as Chairman of RPAC for Florida Realtors, Chairs the Chairible Trust Committee for Northeast Florida Association of Realtors, teaches a Bible study class for her church and just completed serving on the Charter Revision Commission for the City of Jacksonville.

In her spare time, Beverly enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

This relatively new area of Jacksonville extends east from Southside Boulevard to the Intracoastal Waterway. The construction of J. Turner Butler Boulevard, which extends from Phillips Highway to the beaches, opened up construction in this area, and it hasn't slowed since. Some used to refer to the area as East Arlington, but today residents prefer to call their community Intracoastal West, reflecting the area's proximity to the water and the beaches.

Homes in Intracoastal West are almost exclusively new, with most constructed in the last five years. Many are in beautifully planned communities, with gated access and amenities such as a community pool and clubhouse. Jacksonville Golf and Country Club, Glen Kernan Golf and Country Club, and Queen's Harbour Yacht and Country Club are among the most well-known developments in this area. A wide range of more modest housing is also available.

The community's access to water is obviously a selling point, with its many boatslips and marinas. Homes with Intracoastal views and direct boat access are prized finds, and command prices accordingly. But even without a view from home, residents of this area enjoy easy access to the area's waterways for recreational fishing and boating. As the area is fairly newly developed, shopping centers and schools are also recently built. The Intracoastal West area enjoys easy access to the beaches and to the office parks of the Southside.

Several major medical centers are located in this region, such as the world-renowned Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, located on San Pablo Road. A few smaller office parks have followed the development of the Mayo Clinic, but Intracoastal West remains primarily a residential area.

There are many wonderful homes in this area, but you need a local market expert to help you. Watson Realty Corp is a locally owned company with over 40 years experience selling homes in the area.
